How much does a tow cost in Dallas?
How much does a tow cost in Dallas?
It depends on distance, vehicle type, and whether the tow is city-ordered or a private call. For a nonconsent tow, Dallas City Code 48A-43 caps the fee at $121, $191, or $445 depending on vehicle weight, and a state-regulated vehicle storage facility caps a release at $272 plus $22.85 a day storage and a $50 notification fee. For a private call, the operator taking the job quotes the exact price before the truck rolls. Roadside work such as jumps, tire changes, lockouts, and fuel is priced by the operator on the call.
Do you charge extra at night, weekends, or holidays?
Calls are taken around the clock. Ask the operator whether any night, weekend, or holiday charge applies, and get the full price confirmed before the truck rolls.
What payment methods do you accept?
The operator taking the job confirms payment methods before rolling. For a nonconsent drop fee, Texas rules require the operator to accept cash, credit, and debit.
Do you work with insurance or motor clubs?
If you have roadside coverage through an insurer or motor club, call them first so the tow is billed under that plan. Quick Tow Dallas is a dispatch and referral line, not a motor-club contractor. If you do not have coverage, call (469) 902-4411 and a licensed operator quotes the job before rolling.
How fast can you get to me?
How fast can you get to me?
It depends on where you are, what traffic is doing, and which operator is closest when you call. Nobody can honestly promise a number before knowing your location. Call and the operator taking the job can give you an arrival estimate for where you actually are, not a script.
What areas do you cover?
We cover the whole Dallas metro - Dallas and the Park Cities, North Dallas and Richardson, Collin County, East Dallas and Garland, South Dallas and Oak Cliff, Irving and Las Colinas, and the Denton County corridor.
Do you respond to freeways?
Yes. I-35E Stemmons, I-30, I-635 LBJ, US-75 Central, the Dallas North Tollway, the President George Bush Turnpike, Sam Rayburn SH-121, and the major interchanges like the Mixmaster and the High Five - we cover every Dallas metro highway. If law enforcement is directing the scene, the tow runs under their process. For private calls on freeway shoulders, we dispatch directly.
What if I break down on a tollway or out in the far suburbs?
Coverage includes the Dallas North Tollway, PGBT, I-635 TEXpress lanes, and the outlying Collin and Denton County suburbs. Pin-drop your location or give a mile marker when you call so the operator covering that zone can find you.
Which tow truck does my car need?
Flatbed or wheel-lift - which does my car need?
AWD, 4WD, and all EVs must go flatbed - no exceptions. Wheel-lift works fine for standard FWD or RWD sedans and most trucks. Lowered, damaged, or luxury vehicles should go flatbed for safety. Tell us year/make/model when you call and we route the right truck.
Can you tow my Tesla or EV?
Yes. Every EV needs a flatbed - the drive motors stay engaged with the wheels. We connect you with a licensed operator who can move Teslas, Rivians, Mustang Mach-Es, Lucids, and Hummer EVs. If the battery is completely dead and the transport mode will not engage, the operator confirms how they will move the vehicle before hooking up.
Do you tow motorcycles and RVs?
Yes. Motorcycles get low-deck flatbeds with soft straps. Class A, B, C motorhomes and fifth-wheels are handled with heavy wreckers. We tell you on the phone what truck is coming.
Can you do long-distance tows out of Dallas?
Yes. Common routes from Dallas: Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Waco. Long-distance runs are priced by distance and vehicle. Scheduled pickups are preferred so the operator can route a driver efficiently.
Do you offer roadside help besides towing?
Can you jump-start my car?
Yes. Licensed operators we connect you with carry jump equipment. If the battery is the only issue, you can usually drive away after the jump. If the alternator or battery is bad, the driver tells you honestly and can tow from the same call.
Will you change a flat tire for me?
Yes. The operator taking the job brings the tools and swaps the spare if it is safe to do so. On a freeway, a short tow to a safe lot is often the safer option.
Do you deliver fuel?
Yes. Operators can bring gas or diesel to get you to the nearest station. The operator confirms the service call and fuel cost before rolling.
Can you unlock my car?
Yes for most standard vehicles. Some newer models with transponder keys require a locksmith or dealer; we tell you on the phone whether we can help or you need a specialist.
Will my insurance cover the tow after an accident?
Will my insurance cover the tow after an accident?
Ask your insurer what the policy covers. After the tow, the operator can give you an invoice with scene location, reason, and destination for the claim file.
Do you coordinate with DPS and local police?
Yes. Accident scenes of every kind get dispatched, and if law enforcement is on scene the operator works directly with the officer on removal and destination.
Can you tow a vehicle to a specific body shop?
Yes. Tell dispatch the shop, dealer, or storage lot you want. The operator taking the job takes the car there, including longer hauls quoted before anyone rolls.
How does private property and HOA towing work?
Can my HOA or apartment get a private-property agreement?
Yes. The licensed operators we connect property managers with work under written agreements with apartment complexes, homeowners associations, and retail lots across the Dallas metro. What that agreement covers is between the property and the operator.
What do I do if my car was towed from private property?
Texas law requires the tow company to provide release info to the vehicle owner. Call us with your license plate and we will help you track down which lot has it, what the release fee is, and what paperwork you need (driver's license + registration in most cases).
Need a tow? One call, any hour.
Light-duty towing, priced by the operator, who quotes your full price before the truck rolls.
